Leland Lake House and Sunrise Cottage, sleep up to 16 on lovely Lake Leland. Rent these two adjacent homes together for your family/friends gathering.

This lake-front vacation property offers all you need for a memorable family retreat, from large private dock and canoes (the Buckin' Bronco and the Al Dente), to full-lake-view deck and two fire-pits and hot-tubs, to fully equipped kitchens, toasty wood stoves, 4 cozy queen bedrooms plus 2 twins in loft, and plush terry robes for all. You may never want to leave... but then you'd miss spectacular Olympics hiking and charming Port Townsend. Tough choice! Four hybrid SUP/kayaks included at no charge, May through September.

This 1750-square-foot timber-frame lake house and 750-square foot cabin are thoughtfully furnished to provide everything your family might need for an amazing vacation in any season. Awake to sip your coffee on the large deck, overlooking the mist rolling silently across the lake. Spend your day paddling, swimming, fishing, relaxing with a book in the hammock or just enjoying each other's company and the incredible and ever-changing views. Keep an eye out for eagles, osprey, kingfishers, ducks and the red-winged blackbird who thinks he owns the property. If you're lucky, an otter or two might pop up! The house's fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to feed a crowd, and the cabin's little kitchen is also ready to cook. Two propane grills to grill your trout or steaks. Finish the day with a hot-tub soak under the stars, and all will sleep soundly in the comfortable beds.

The Leland Lake House and Sunrise Cottage are adjacent to each other, each home being extremely private from the other, with a delightful babbling brook separating them. The house is directly on the lakefront with spectacular views, a large sunny lawn, fire-pit and hot-tub, and swimming, paddling, fishing directly from its private dock. Badminton and volleyball in back.

The cottage is tucked back off of the lake, with its own lawn, gardens, fire-pit, and hot-tub, and private dock and lake access down a grassy path along one side of the property.

The property is fully fenced and we welcome your pups with bowls, dog towels and blankets, and even a paw-washer.

Local co-host is standing by to answer any need.

Quilcene , WA , United States

Quilcene, Pearl of the Peninsula, is a tiny town with a big heart and a long history. Lake Leland is a small rural lake, on the edge of the Olympic National Forest, surrounded by trees and quiet homes. 5 mph speed limit on the lake means no noisy water toys, and a peaceful refuge for paddlers, swimmers, and anglers. Lake Leland offers year-round fishing for rainbow trout, large mouth bass, perch, crappie and bluegill. (State license required. A boat ramp is located at the county park. Due to steepness of our driveway, we don't recommend bringing towed boats down it.) Steamer clams and oysters are easy to collect near Linger-longer Road in Quilcene (about seven miles from Lake Leland). Hurricane Ridge is only an hour and a half away. It offers a raven's-eye view of the park, high-elevation hikes, and winter fun from sledding to cross-country skiing to snowshoeing. Nearby Quilcene Ranger Station provides maps and updates on hiking conditions for some of the most spectacular trails in the world.

Leland lake

Date of Stay:

Wow. Did not disappoint. Incredible location. Peaceful serene lake and both homes Were incredibly well Stocked. Everything we needed for a family vacation. Plenty of Room for 7 Adults. fishing was amazing....trout, blue gill, large mouth bass, perch and carp. My boys caught them all. Beautiful eagle sighting as well. The canoes and boat were great to stroll around the lake. We can’t wait to come back.

Date of Stay:

Was unexpectedly snowy with 11 inches of snow throughout the weekend. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety and were incredibly flexible and attentive. The snow turned the house and cottage a simply magical winter wonderland that we thoroughly enjoyed. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Would definitely return in a heartbeat!

Date of Stay:

Had a fantastic weekend here with friends! Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the cabin, a well stocked kitchen, and a serene lake view to top it all off. Would definitely return in a heartbeat!

Perfect getaway

Date of Stay:

Cozy little cabin with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The amenities were perfect for our stay, great little kitchen/dining area, fireplace in living area along with a great hot tub and private lake access with a dock were great perks as well.

Loved to serenity!

Date of Stay:

It was so peaceful and relaxing, everyone was able to stay entertained with so many different activities throughout the weekend we had no need to leave the property. Can't wait til our next visit

Great Stay!

Date of Stay:

We rented both the Leland House and adjoining Sunrise cottage. That made for a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing few days. The combined properties make the most dog-friendly vacation rental we have experienced. Great lawn area and completely fenced--even providing dog bowls and dog towels. We brought our own kayaks to explore the nearby Hood Canal. However, paddling every morning on the glass-like lake turned out to be a highlight. The owner and manager have thought of everything from playing cards and games to cozy bathrobes for the hot tub. The kitchen was very well stocked. The house was comfortable and well maintained.
